I am a panel investigator for Sacramento Counties Conflict Criminal Defenders (CCD) office.
CCD provides legal representation to criminal defendants who are financially unable to retain counsel.
Sacramento Superior Court appoints cases to the CCD where the Public Defender cannot provide representation because of a conflict of interest, insufficient staff or other reasons.
Panel attorneys are assigned the cases and they select from the approved panel investigators.

Since being approved as a panel investigator, I have investigated both adult and juvenile cases both at the misdemeanor and felony level.
The cases I have worked ranged from misdemeanor traffic accidents to felony battery and home invasion.
Based on my investigations, the attorneys I have worked with have successfully defended against the charges in both jury and judge only trials, and have been able to have the charges dropped or substantially reduced.
