Over the years, my work experience (paid and volunteer) has provided me many skills that apply to my work as a Private Investigator.

The following is a brief description of my prior work experience and skills as well as my professional memberships.

* Private Investigator *
I have been a licensed Private Investigator in the State of California since 1999. California requires 6,000 hours of experience along with passing a state administered test.

* Auditor *
California Franchise Tax Board:
I was a tax auditor for twelve (12) years. My audits ranged from residency audits to Multi-State/Multi-National Corporate tax audits. I am retired from State service.

Residence audits required making a determination as to whether a person was correctly reporting they were not a resident of the state of California for tax purposes or were claiming such to avoid California taxation. The audit requires obtaining the individuals financial records, including credit cards and checks and placing the individual in a location on a day by day basis.

The Multi-State/Multi-National Corporate tax audits involved the audit of large conglomerate corporations to determine which corporations should be included as part of the conglomerate and which should be excluded. Then a determination was made as to the appropriate apportionment of their income to California for taxation purposes. This involves a detail review of their books to determine their assets, personnel and sales both inside and out of California.

* Insurance Claims Representative *
I worked insurance claims for twelve (12) years. The majority of this time was working both first and third party bodily injury claims, (Bodily Injury, Uninsured Motorist, Underinsured Motorist and Medical Payment coverage’s).

In addition, I worked and testified on fraud cases. I qualified as an expert witness in San Francisco Superior Court as an expert on claims handling procedures. I also obtained the Associate in Claims certification from the Insurance Institute of America.

* Public Safety Diver *
I volunteered with the Drowning Accident Rescue Team (DART) for twelve (12) years. Operating under the California Office of Emergency Services, I responded to 687 missions for the State of California as a volunteer.

I was certified as a Team Leader, Rescue Diver, Recovery Diver, Underwater Investigator and Shore Master. These missions ranged from single drowning, multiple drownings, car accidents, boat accidents and aircraft accidents. In addition, we performed many criminal investigations, including homicides. I testified at several homicide trials as to the chain of evidence and was admitted as an expert witness on accident reconstruction to testify about a staged accident and the fact an individual was not in a vehicle at the time of the accident.

* Military *
As of May 2008, I have 17 years of military service.

I am currently serving with the California Army National Guard with a local Military Police Company.

While active duty with the Army, I served with the 82nd Airborne Division, and the 7th Infantry Division both as a heavy anti-tank crewman.

While with the Army Reserves, I served with the 91st Division (Tng)as a Drill Instructor. I have taught Basic Training at Ft. Benning, GA, NCO Academes at Camp San Luis Obispo, CA, and Drill Sergeant School at Ft. Ord, CA.

My training included basic infantry, heavy anti-tank weapons 90mm & 106mm recoilless rifles, TOW missile), Airborne, Jungle Warfare, Sniper, Drill Instructor.
